When walking into Sophie’s home you don’t know where to look first. It’s like entering an artistic wonderland, spilling over with quirky bits and bobs from egg cups, to vases to soft furnishings; pulled together like only an artist could. We’ve long been fans of Sophie’s work. Her paintings are loosely based on 17th Century Dutch portaits of children. Her signature style crops the eyes, so her paintings maintain anonymity and an air of mystery. They’re a bit oldie worldy but in a cool, interesting and modern way (if that makes sense). Her incredible home is colourful, busy and eclectic … just like her. Her personality oozes out of every curio and collection that fills the space, that’s also home to a busy family of teens. There’s nothing slick and minimalist about Sophie’s house but it perfectly reflects her quirky style and that’s why we love it.
